The SULLAIR 01085 separator element is located inside the air oil separator tank and separate the compressed air from the residual oil coming out of the compression bloc.
A standard rotary screw air oil separator assembly should retain most of the oil inside the lubrification system and entrained in the compressed air a maximum of 2-3 ppm.
Top hat style air oil separator are installed inside a separator tanks with a gasket and a grounding wire. They normally need to be change anywhere between 4000hrs and 8000hrs depending on the parts.
