Spin-on Air Oil Separator KELTEC KD610-017

The KELTEC KD610-017 spin-on separator assembly is located on the lubrication system and separate the compressed air from the residual oil coming out of the compression bloc, sometimes it can be mounted on a valve bloc including the thermostat and the minimum pressure valve.
A high quality separator filter will be size with some safety factor in order to function properly at pressure slightly under-rated capacity.
Spin-on separator are normally mounted upside-down to reduce the amount of oil lost at replacement. They normally need to be changed anywhere between 2000 hr and 4000 hr depending on the manufacturer recommendation.
