The KELTEC CECA1419 air oil separator acts as a filter for the mix of air and oil getting out of the air end. This part plays an important role in the air quality, the energy performance of the compressor and the reliability of the equipment.
A standard rotary screw air oil separator assembly should retain most of the oil inside the lubrication system and entrained in the compressed air for a maximum of 2-3 ppm.
Air/oil separator elements have a significant impact on the overall performance of a compressed air system. Excessive oil carry-over will result in higher compressor maintenance cost, higher energy consumption due to high differential pressure in downstream filtration and higher non-quality product cost.
