The GARDNER DENVER 310EAU6013 is a maintenance part that you will find in lubricated compressor it is called an air oil separator element and it's a critical component of the lubrication system.
A standard rotary screw air oil separator assembly should retain most of the oil inside the lubrication system and entrained in the compressed air for a maximum of 2-3 ppm.
The top-hat style air oil separators are installed inside a separator tanks with a gasket and a grounding wire. They normally need to be changed anywhere between 4000 hr and 8000 hr depending on the parts.
