Air Compressor Air Oil Separator

Lubricated rotary screw air compressors mix oil with the intake air to seal the compressor screws, lubricate bearings and remove heat of compression from the machine. After the mix of air and oil is compressed the air oil separator separates compressed air from compressor oil so the oil can be temperature regulated and reinjected into the compression air end. A standard rotary screw air oil separator should retain most of the oil inside the lubrification system and entrained in the compressed air a maximum of 2-3 ppm. They normally need to be change anywhere between 4000hrs and 8000hrs depending on the design.
